Synopsis: The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.
After last week’s midterm elections, a great deal of attention was focused on the wildfires razing California, leaving dozens dead and missing. The Simi Valley area – made infamous during the 1992 trial for the beating of black motorist Rodney King – has been heavily damaged. A bipartisan effort to implement so-called criminal justice reform was celebrated, during the same time that an armed black male security guard was shot and killed by a White enforcement officer. Jemel Roberson detained an alleged shooter and alerted the authorities, but a White officer arrived and concluded Roberson was a threat warranting lethal force. Speaking of antiblack racism, the defending NBA champion Golden State Warrior were the center of controversy and a losing streak after two of their best players had a major verbal altercation that resulted in one player being suspended. A sad illustration of why Neely Fuller Jr. encourages Victims of Racism to avoid name-calling.
